I. Introduction to the Smart Meter Reading System
The smart meter reading system is composed of a collector, a data gateway, a master station system and an APP. It realizes remote automatic meter reading of water meters, electricity meters, gas meters and heat meters in various application scenarios, and provides data processing and analysis services, the system administrator can work remotely on the master station system with tasks such as real-time monitoring, billing, sending alarms, configuration and switch tripping/turning, and subscribers can enjoy services such as information query, reminder, and payment through smart terminals. In this way the system provides centralized monitoring and intelligent network management of water, electricity, gas and heat.
The smart meter reading system uses a private LoRa protocol and a powerful networking approach to adapt to, while supporting single meter monitoring, a variety of four meter reading applications, including the intelligent transformation of the four meter reading based on the integration of the current solution. At the same time the system remains easy to deploy and install and simple to maintain. A possible deployment plan is given as follows:
A. The low-power pulse counter collector collects data from dual-pulse water meter and feeds the data into the master station system through the data gateway (optical fiber/Ethernet/4G). The pulse count collector may be installed internally or externally.
B. MBUS/RS485 collector supports various meters using RS485 or MBUS interface, and feeds the data into the master station system through the data gateway (optical fiber/Ethernet/4G). A single collector can support up to 32 meters with RS485 interface and 64 meters with MBUS interface.
C. All kinds of smart water meters with MBUS or RS485 interface, gas meters with MBUS interface, and electricity meters with RS485 interface can be connected to the data gateway directly without any collector, and then connected to the master station system (optical fiber/Ethernet/4G).
D. Public network water meter with NB-IoT interface can be connected to the master station system through a simulated gateway.
E. After the system is connected, user can configure the system parameters and create equipment profiles on a mobile phone APP through a WiFi to RF tool on site.
II. Main Applications
